The Province of Southern Appalachia is a fellowship grounded in historic Christian orthodoxy, rooted in the life of the ancient Church while faithfully lived out in the American context. It seeks not to reinvent the faith, but to receive and embody it—holding fast to the authority of Scripture, the witness of tradition, and the unity expressed in the historic creeds.
Worship and common life are shaped by the enduring rhythms of the Church: prayer, repentance, sacrament, and service. These are not seen as empty forms, but as the means through which God forms His people in holiness and communion. The Province is committed to a faith that is both lived and shared—steady, reverent, and deeply connected to the Church across time.
At the parish level, community is essential. Congregations are places of belonging, where discipleship is practiced through mutual care, accountability, and a shared pursuit of Christ. Clergy and laity together participate in this common life, each with a role in building up the body.
In a culture often marked by instability and division, the Province offers a rooted and faithful witness—proclaiming Christ, preserving the apostolic faith, and living it with clarity and purpose in the present age.
