Who We Are

The Province of Southern Appalachia is a sacramental, biblical, and liturgical Orthodox Church, rooted in the faith and practice of the Ancient Church. We believe that the road to the future runs through the past—and that classical Christianity will engage our culture more effectively than any modern substitute.

Serving God beyond Sunday, our communities are engaged in counseling services, inner healing ministries, mission work, and pastoral care throughout the week. From Knoxville, Tennessee to our Ordinariate of the Armed Forces and Chaplaincy (OAFC), we extend ministry wherever we are called.
